Welcome to the Linux User Group at LAX (LiLAX)! We are based out of Southern California (specifically, anywhere near LAX in the South Bay area). Our club currently meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 10:00am - 12:00pm usually in down town Los Angeles, California in One Wilshire 9th floor conference room check meetings page! Our main method for communication is the mailing list. We use this list for everything from meeting annoucements to getting help from each other. Joining the club is as easy as joining the mailing list, although it's much more fun when you can attend meetings! WiFi is usually available and there should be a projector, thanks to our awsome host, Jim from California|Telecom. We're currently searching for speakers starting July, Linux experts, and anyone with an interest and passion for computing, Linux or the internet. Those interested in speaking, just let us know via the mailing list. Anyone else, sign up and introduce yourself! We also bump earlier speakers if you have hot topical talk, ask at themeeting for 5 minutes to evaluate your topic. In general, anything of interest to our attendees makes a good topic, espeically if you really know the topic and we can learn from you. |
